I write cozy mysteries from my home in Devon, where the landscapes that inspired Agatha Christie are practically on my doorstep.
This photo was taken on Bigbury Beach, right in front of Burgh Island. You can see the very hotel that sparked Christie’s imagination for one of her most famous books.
For a writer who has been captivated by Christie’s mysteries my whole life, it always feels like something of a pilgrimage when I come here.
When I’m not reading or writing, you’ll usually find me out walking the South Hams coast, clearing my head and dreaming up plots.
